Today was PBS Kids Day at The Diamond. That would be the stadium that will no longer be the home of the Richmond Braves after this year since they are moving to Georgia. Judging from the traffic leading the the stadium at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, many Richmonders seem to want to support The Braves now that they are leaving town. Anyway, it was the kids' first "big" baseball game and they were quite excited. Since it was PBS day, there were giveaways for the kids and Clifford and Curious George were there along with the IHOP mascot.....a walking pancake.
In true Reed form, he was speechless, watching and soaking it all in. If he was excited in the least, it did not show. Holly and I are waiting to see if he will actually talk about any of it - ever. He is the one who has been talking about baseball, wanting to learn how to play and even wanted to wear his baseball shirt to the game. Evyn, on the other hand, was very much into visiting the PBS tables, grabbing the free stickers, balloons. She also *had* to have a hot dog and about swallowed the thing whole. She excitedly embraced the adventure, he quietly watched from underneath his baseball hat and hardly even spoke a word to his favorite buddy, Aiden, who was also there.
