Robot mode

I am in robot mode today. You know when your neck is stiff and painful and you have to turn your whole body to look over your shoulder. It even hurts to take a deep breath. It started yesterday and escalated to my current state. It was for a good cause though. It could be and probably is a result of our family trail ride on Sunday. Holly and I took the kids and my new summer babysitter, Ryan, to the park to ride the trails.

Evyn and Reed are amazing on the trails. In fact, Evyn worked up the nerve to ride down a hill and through a tiny stream with a few rocks which then led back up a hill. She, as Reed calls it, "crashed and burned," bike on leg, body in steam, some mud and tears. She was fine and later decided to go down and back up an even bigger hill, minus the rocks and water. Reed is awesome on his bike too. He is not quite as daring as Evyn is but not far behind. This activity is definitely a family favorite right now.

While we were there, Ryan and I took off on some trails without Holly and the kids. I was jumping things and riding like I was 12. I nearly flew over my handlebars once, so It is really not surprising that I'm impaired today. I guess I should not ride my bike like I am 12 anymore.
