Hello First Day of School, nice to see ya.

Both kids were very excited to start school today. One mom felt like she could cry when the bus pulled away (not me!) and one mom nearly did cartwheels back up the driveway (me!). Both of us do agree, though, that our "babies" are growing up way too fast. Even our new puppy is growing up quickly.

When the bus dropped them back off this afternoon, they were all smiles, having to compete with one another for "talk time." Poor Reed does not stand a chance against our junior talking champion. Reed was quick to tell me that he found Evyn's brand new lunch box abandoned in the cafeteria, so he picked it up for her. Seems as though Evyn is starting off this school year in need of a personal assistant. Thankfully, her little brother has her back, even though she is the one who should probably have his back but whatever works.... They are happy with the start of the new school year and SO AM I.
