This year, due to illness and Holly's dad having a stroke, our fifth annual Easter egg hunt almost did not happen. We ended up having it on Easter Sunday which meant that many of our regular egg hunters could not come due to family obligations and traditions, however, the day turned out great anyway.
Warm, sunny weather, a visit from the Easter bunny, an adorable eight month old surrounded by grandparents that can't take their eyes off of her (and not just because she is is all mobile and busy and full of trouble), at least 100 Easter eggs to hunt and only five children hunting, blooming tulips, potato sack races, sidewalk paint, cute cupcakes, bubbles, a delicious meal, a multi-family game of kickball, happy children, egg races, eating candy all day long, feeling thankful and blessed. That was Easter at the Lively house.
