Today was a pre-school day for Evyn and Reed and apparently it was a good one. Reed came running up to me at pick-up and as I was putting him in then car he says "Another girl hugged me at school today." For the past couple of weeks he has made comments about being kissed on the head, hugged by Mrs. So-and-So, smelling like some woman's perfume and now he is getting hugs from (what Evyn described as) a girl in the carpool room who likes to hug. I guess we are not the only ones who find him irresistable.
As I was going through backpaks, gathering all of the papers that needed to come inside, Reed produces this Publication Form. I am going to hide it and color it and work through it myself. It is almost as if someone at the pre-school knew that Reed's mommy knew more about Texas history than Virginia history and felt compelled to send this home. It was just last week that I was struggling to explain a flag that I thought was made by someone in Virginia. Is the coloring book's arrival a coincidence?
