And married?? Our Ashley turned 23 on Saturday, although she celebrated all weekend long, which is totally what she needed to do. Considering all she has been through the past 8 months or so, she deserved to have a weekend that was all about her.
It started on Friday night when Holly and I took Ashley and Gary out to our absolute favorite non-kid-friendly hole in the wall. It is a place that you would never expect to turn out such great food, not to mention the generous bartenders. Anything goes here and you never know what to expect, other than a good time. (anyone care to guess where we went?)
After dinner and drinks, Ash and Gary proceeded on to Ash's cousin's house for more birthday fun. The fun spilled over to the next day and then by Sunday, we had to get together just one more time so the kids could give her a gift and present her with the cake "that Mama helped us make," sing and blow out candles.
I had some fun pictures of our little gathering on Sunday but Blogger will not let me post them for some reason. Just imagine good times.....
